Home care makes it
possible for the patient
to remain at home rather
than use residential,
long-term, or
institutional-based
nursing home care. In a
Home Care Program, Home
Care Aides provide
living assistance
services to the patient
in their own home.
Depending on the
individual needs, Senior
Home Care can be the
right form of elderly
care assistance. With
Home Care (or "at home
care") a personal care
attendant assists the
elder person with daily
personal activities (for
example, help with the
laundry, bathing,
dressing, cooking, and
cleaning) at your home.
Additionally, the home
caregiver can help in
the use of home care
equipment such as
mobility aides and
bathroom equipment.

Life assistance services
include help with daily tasks
such as Meal Preparation,
Medication reminders, Laundry,
Light Housekeeping, Errands,
Shopping, Transportation,
assistance with Home Health Care
equipment, and Companionship. Activities
of daily living (ADL) refers
to six activities (bathing,
dressing, transferring, using
the toilet, eating, and walking)
that reflect the patient's
capacity for self-care.
Unlike Home Health Care, Home
Care is classified as a
non-medical form of elderly
care, and can be provided by
persons who are not nurses,
doctors, or other licensed
medical personnel. It is best
suited for individuals who do
not require constant medical
supervision. For those
individuals who do require a
higher level of medical
supervision, Home Health Care
may be a better choice.
Choosing a home care plan can
be a big decision, and it is
very important to select the
proper level of care to meet
your total home care needs.
Noble Home Health Care has the
experience to help you. Our
helpful Home Care Assessment can
identify the best option for
your situation.
In addition to Home Care, Noble
Home Health Care also provides
Home Health Care (for those who
do need medical home care) and
Respite Care.
Respite care (or "in home
respite care") is the provision
of short-term, temporary relief
to those who are caring for
family members who might
otherwise require permanent
placement in a facility outside
the home.
Noble Home Health Care is a
proud member of the San Diego
County Home Care community and
